Show 004 – George Brett
Our fourth episode is dedicated to Number 5. The greatest Royal. George Brett. Brett spent an evening with our Title Sponsor, the Kansas City Baseball Historical Society this month and talked about his entire career. Brett talked about growing up in California, idolizing his brothers. He talked about his greatest moments through the great Royals teams of the late ’70′s and the 1985 World Series. He also spent a good deal of time talking about his Batting Title run of 1990 against Rickey Henderson. Brett finished the conversation talking about Luke Hochevar and Eric Hosmer. The entire hour we had our recorders running and are bringing the event to you. Thanks for supporting the show and don’t forget to like us on Facebook and Twitter at /theballgamekc.
“George Brett was the feaured speaker at the January 2013 meeting of the Kansas City Baseball Historical Society. I wrote about the event here: http://kingsofkauffman.com/2013/01/25/george-brett-spins-baseball-yarns-guest-post/ but also took some random pictures of the event and the Diamond Club at Kauffman Stadium.”
